Loka Manya Prawiro Unveils Soulful New Album ‘I Love You Evermore’

Loka Manya Prawiro ‘s musical journey is a testament to his dedication, resilience, and remarkable talent. Born in 1961, Loka’s passion for music began at the age of five. By nine, he was already proficient in guitar and piano, mostly self-taught. He later graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration. However, his path shifted significantly towards music in 1980 when he started composing and recording jazz tracks. His breakthrough came in 1995 with his debut album “Back To the Old Days,” featuring the popular ballad “I Love You Evermore”, originally titled “Aku Makin Cinta” in Indonesian.

Throughout his career, Loka has been influenced by a variety of genres, including pop, rock, soul, R&B funk, and classical music, crafting a distinctive and timeless sound. Despite a flourishing career, personal losses, like his mother’s death in 2018, profoundly affected him, prompting a long hiatus from music for solace and healing.

After 18 years away from the studio, Loka Manya Prawiro has poured his life experiences into his new album, “I Love You Evermore.” This project is an emotional blend of soulful melodies and sincere lyrics.

The album opens with “Passion,” which sets the tone with its engaging rhythm and reflective lyrics. “The Secrets of a Woman’s Heart” follows, highlighting Loka’s storytelling prowess. “Leonie” and “The Flower of My Heart” are moving tracks that illustrate his talent for merging personal stories with universal themes.
