Home Bass Guests Arrive to No Reservations in Orlando — Fyre Fest 3.0?

What was meant to be a smooth check-in day for Home Bass 2025 has erupted into full-blown chaos. Guests at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in Orlando, where the festival’s “Stay Where You Play” lodging packages were supposed to begin, found themselves stranded in the hotel lobby with no reservations and no available rooms.

Hotel staff told guests their names weren’t on file. Attendees posted online about missing reservations. Organizers, led by Brian Thomas, allegedly sent a last-minute email. It told ticket holders to “find their own rooms for the night”. The message promised everything would be fixed by the next day.

For hundreds of ravers who traveled in for the weekend, many also attending EDC Orlando, the situation has left them scrambling to find last-minute accommodations in one of the busiest weekends of the year.

A Familiar Pattern of Promises and Problems

Social media quickly exploded with comparisons to the now-infamous Fyre Festival. On Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), users dubbed the fiasco “Fyre Fest 3.0”, mocking the email telling guests to “find your own room” after paying thousands for an all-inclusive package.

Others are reportedly filing chargebacks and refund requests, citing failure to deliver contracted lodging. Several guests have noted that Westgate staff appeared unaware of the festival’s booking arrangements altogether.

Unpaid Wages, Unpaid Bills and Now Unhoused Guests

Today’s events raise new concerns about unpaid staff and artists. Team members say they still haven’t received payment from the September CampINN event. Vendors claim hotel partners never got paid. That likely contributed to the current check-in mess.

These continuing failures have eroded trust among both fans and industry professionals who once saw Home Bass as a niche but promising Florida festival getaway.

Where Things Stand Now

As of Today, guests have yet to receive confirmation about new room assignments or refunds. The official Home Bass social pages remain silent, with no formal statement addressing the chaos.

Meanwhile, dozens of frustrated attendees are documenting their experiences online, warning others to avoid future Home Bass or CampINN-affiliated events unless transparency and accountability drastically improve.

Once billed as Florida’s premier “EDM hotel takeover,” Home Bass has now become a cautionary tale in real time, a breakdown of logistics, communication, and credibility.
