Contact marks another step forward in Sub Focus’ career. It merges electro, trance, dancehall and drum & bass influences with high-profile collaborators who take his sound into brave new territory. The album’s tracklisting brings together a diverse group: tracks like ‘Entwined’ featuring Grimes and ‘Original Don’ with Fireboy DML showcase Sub Focus’ ability to combine big hooks and sci-fi production, while ‘Go Back’ blends John Summit’s progressive house sound with Sub Focus’ signature tempo shifts.

The creative direction for ‘Contact’ – including the album artwork, vinyl packaging and imagery – was led by Sub Focus with acclaimed photographer Neil Krug and design agency Big Active. It plays on the themes of retro futurism, space race era technology and draws inspiration from the Golden Record sent into the cosmos on NASA’s Voyager mission in the 1970’s.

Contact is the fourth solo studio album by Sub Focus, following three Brit certified Silver albums: ‘Sub Focus’, ‘Torus’, and 2023’s UK Top 40 album ‘Evolve’.

2025 has been a landmark year for Sub Focus. Beginning the year selling out London’s Alexandra Palace in a matter of minutes with his immersive show Circular Sound, he then performed his biggest-ever set at Glastonbury Festival, closing out their IICON stage.

Rounding off the year as the cover star of DJ Mag’s Q4 edition and becoming the first Drum & Bass headliner at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, he has recently been announced to perform at Coachella and Ultra Music Festivals in 2026.
