Kannibalen Records has released the ninth edition of its annual compilation, All I Want For Christmas Is Bass Vol. 9. The compilation covers a range of heavy bass subgenres, including dubstep, hybrid styles, bass house, and hard techno, with tracks varying from melodic builds to direct, high-impact arrangements. The Montreal-based label continues the series with a 12-track collection that is out now. This installment introduces several new artists to the roster, including Bella Renee, KATTANA, Izadi, Pretence, and Liu Kang, alongside returning contributors like Future Exit, NOMIS.K, Phocust, Messinian, AlienPark, and Saint Miller. Standout tracks include Bella Renee’s ‘City of Angels,’ which combines alternative rock elements with heavy bass and features her own vocals. Saint Miller delivers ‘Go Crazy Like,’ a hybrid dubstep cut built around aggressive sound design and high-energy drops. WODD contributes ‘Riddim Tale (VIP),’ an updated version of his earlier riddim track that amplifies the original’s chaotic structure. Pretence’s ‘Black Hole‘ fuses bass house with techno influences, earning early support from artists like Rezz. KATTANA’s ‘Sacred‘ brings a cinematic hybrid approach, blending icy melodies with heavy low-end and intricate percussion, leading into Izadi’s ‘Guillotine,’ a straightforward dubstep heater centered on massive wobbles and sharp metallic percussion. Future Exit contributes ‘UNDOSED‘ a melodic dubstep track that features static like sounding drops. NOMIS.K takes a more laidback approach on ‘Thoughts‘ where the lyrics take center stage supported by lower frequency synths.Kannibalen Records Releases All I Want For Christmas Is Bass Vol. 9
