At 8am EST the 24 hour countdown ended on Tomorrowland‘s live video, revealing a brand new theme for Tomorrowland in 2026. Note that we said Tomorrowland, and not just Belgium. The new theme, Consciencia, will touch down in Belgium, Thailand, and Brazil. This is the first time ever that Tomorrowland will use the same theme across all its global editions. Even back in the days of TomorrowWorld, the closest we got was the 2014 Key to Happiness theme being used in Georgia in 2015 and Brazil in 2016. Yesterday, we touched on the idea that perhaps this theme would be the long-rumored “Pyramids in Space” theme teased at Tomorrowland 2019. Based on the formal announcement, we still think this might be the case. Of course, Tomorrowland would never use a clunky name like that for a theme, but the visual language is eerily similar. It is essentially another dimension (though maybe not space) with endless dessert and some mythical structures. There are no pyramids to be seen. None of this is too surprising, as Tomorrowland teasers are never direct, but rather they hint at a side angle of the truth, with the truth itself somewhere in the background, hidden (see Tomorrowland 2022 stage teaser). Tomorrowland says Consciencia is a mysterious dimension where six primal emotions form the foundations of existence: Wonder, Love, Anger, Joy, Desire, and Sadness. In this world, these emotions take shape as six distinct factions, each with its own visual language, rituals, and symbolic universe. Together they create a realm that is otherworldly but deeply human. As is tradition (recently), Tomorrowland has a companion adventure fantasy novel which delves into the theme. The Legend of Consciencia tells the original story of the theme and is available for preorder at the Tomorrowland Store. More about the theme will be revealed over the coming months, so stay tuned.
