Boys Noize Drops ‘HYYTUP / Sh5b0mbe’ On ONES and ZEROS

After an extensive run of high-profile collaborations and co-productions, Boys Noize is stepping back into solo territory with HYYTUP / Sh5b0mbe, a two-track release out now via his label ONES and ZEROS.

The release follows a massive stretch of work alongside artists including LSDXOXO, Ty Dolla $ign, Kungs, Keinemusik, and Nine Inch Nails, the latter of which included production across much of the Tron: Ares soundtrack. After months immersed in other worlds and collaborations, HYYTUP / Sh5b0mbe feels like a deliberate reset — loud, physical, and uncompromising.

Marking the first release of the year on ONES and ZEROS, the project continues the label’s mission of spotlighting forward-thinking artists reshaping techno by breaking its rules. ‘HYYTUP’ immediately sets the tone, rejecting current tempo trends in favor of a stomping 107 BPM groove. Dark, detuned synths creep in early, building tension through cinematic textures before collapsing into a dense, punishing drop. Minimal in structure but heavy in impact, the track leans on distorted bass pressure, live hi-hat patterns, and ghostly Memphis-style vocal fragments to create a sense of controlled chaos that feels both familiar and futuristic.

On the flip, ‘Sh5b0mbe’ surges ahead at 134.4 BPM, pushing into harsher territory where EBM, acid, and industrial techno collide. Driven by a relentless square-wave arpeggio, the track’s percussion snaps and slams with mechanical precision, while a constantly mutating bassline keeps the tension unstable. A stripped-back breakdown briefly amplifies the sense of unease before the track snaps back into place, escalating toward a final stretch that feels intentionally overwhelming.

Together, HYYTUP / Sh5b0mbe presents two distinct directions for techno moving into 2026 — slower and weightier on one hand, fast and feral on the other. It’s a reminder that Boys Noize’s longevity hasn’t come from compromise, but from consistently pushing against expectation.

‘HYYTUP / Sh5b0mbe’ is out now via ONES and ZEROS and available on all major streaming platforms.
