ALOK Teams with SIDEPIECE and Victor Ruiz on Driving New Single ‘Mind Illuminate’

Global dance music heavyweight ALOK teams up with GRAMMY-nominated house duo SIDEPIECE and Brazilian techno producer Victor Ruiz on the new single ‘Mind Illuminate,‘ out today via Alok’s Controversia Records

The track fuses SIDEPIECE’s signature house bounce with Victor Ruiz’s darker, melodic techno drive, filtered through Alok’s streamlined global production style. It centers on a solid low-end kick, layered percussion that builds tension, hypnotic synth work, and a processed vocal loop cycling variations of “minds hallucinate, minds illuminating.” The arrangement delivers a crisp tech-house groove that transitions into a driving drop suited for warehouse sets or large festival stages—gritty enough for underground rooms, expansive enough for mainstage crowds.

“Bringing these worlds together felt natural,” says ALOK. “SIDEPIECE bring that raw house groove, Victor brings intensity and emotion, and ‘Mind Illuminate’ sits right in the middle. It is built for the dance floor.”

The release lands during a strong period for Alok. He recently climbed to No. 3 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list and held the No. 1 spot in Latin America for the fourth straight year. Highlights from the past year include his New Year’s Eve set on Copacabana Beach for 2.5 million people (officially recognized by Guinness World Records), a Coachella debut, and releases such as “To The Moon” with Illenium, “Substance,” and “Mimosa (Now And Forever).”

He also just announced his new live concept, Rave The World, making its global premiere on June 5, 2026, at London’s O2 Academy Brixton—his first London headline since 2022 and his only one this year. Presented by Broadwick Live and Live Nation, the show ties back to his time living and working near the venue, soaking in the city’s early rave scene. The concept will roll out to more cities through 2026. The timing aligns with his recent “Club Bizarre” collaboration with Faithless, Alex Christensen, and Sam Harper, underscoring his connection to European club roots.
