MESTIZA continues their unstoppable 2026 with the release of their new single ‘Salam’. It arrives today as another glimpse into their forthcoming second album, Spanish Chica. Already a standout moment in their DJ sets, the track channels the duo’s unmistakable cultural fusion. It blends driving Afro House grooves with Spanish rhythmic energy and sweeping Arabic-inspired melodic lines. Now, with their second album set for release on 10th April, and a wave of global festival appearances and high-profile cultural moments unfolding across 2026, MESTIZA continue to expand their vision on an unprecedented scale. Hypnotic and uplifting, ‘Salam’ unfolds through rolling percussion and deep, organic rhythms designed for peak-time dancefloors. Warm Afro House drums underpin the record’s pulse while layered melodies evoke Middle Eastern tonalities. This creates a soundscape that feels both spiritual and electrifying. The result is a powerful cross-cultural anthem that captures the essence of MESTIZA’s sound. Already championed by several global DJs and embraced by crowds during the duo’s performances worldwide, ‘Salam’ has quickly become a fan favourite. Its infectious rhythm and atmospheric melodic motifs showcase MESTIZA’s ability to merge musical traditions with contemporary electronic production. This approach crafts records that resonate far beyond the dancefloor. The single arrives amid a landmark year for the Spanish duo. This summer, MESTIZA made history as the first female artist duo to lead a full-season residency in the main room of Hï Ibiza, currently ranked the world’s number one club. Taking over Sundays in the iconic Theatre space, they will helm a 19-date residency from 31st May to 4th October. This marks the first time a female headline act has held a summer-long residency in the venue’s main room. A defining cultural milestone for the island, it cements their position at the forefront of global electronic music. The Ibiza announcement lands alongside another historic achievement: in April, MESTIZA will perform at Coachella, becoming the only Spanish female artist represented at the festival this year. Their debut at the Californian institution underscores the project’s growing international reach and cultural resonance. After ten years as solo artists, the pair joined forces in 2021 to form MESTIZA. They quickly forged a distinct sonic identity that bridges flamenco’s cultural heritage with the hypnotic energy of electronic production. Their sessions unfold as sensory journeys, where house, melodic techno, and Latin rhythms collide with the emotional charge of flamenco. As a result, the dancefloor becomes a space of collective ritual and contemporary expression. Their debut album Quëreles, released in December 2023, debuted at number one in Spain in its first week, establishing the duo as one of the most compelling new forces in electronic music. Featuring national and international collaborations, it laid the foundations for a broader artistic universe in which music, fashion, symbolism, and visual storytelling coexist. Feminine strength, ancestral codes, and immersive stage design remain at the heart of their identity.MESTIZA Release ‘SALAM’ Before Highly Anticipated Album Spanish Chica
