Alvvays are back. The Canadian band have shared new song “Pharmacist” and revealed details of their first album since in five years. Blue Rev is due on October 7 via Polyvinyl.
Blue Rev is the follow-up to 2017’s Antisocialites and the band’s 2014 self-titled debut. A press release points to a number of reasons for the five year gap between albums, including lengthy tours, the pandemic, the theft of a bunch of demos, and a basement flood ruining the band’s gear.
Last month Alvvays teased their return by announcing fall 2022 US tour dates. All dates are listed below alongside the Blue Rev tracklist.
