A-Trak releases intimate, making-of music video for 'DJs Gotta Dance More'

A-Trak has launched an intimate music video for his single, “DJs Gotta Dance More,” that includes his co-producer Cory Enemy and New York DJ icon, Todd Terry, within the sales space. The esteemed DJ wished a behind-the-scenes look, reflecting the manufacturing course of at its most genuine. In a dimly lit room, the devices shine and the groove is felt sufficient for Terry to get into the sales space, remaking the complete track in a single take.

The track has an old-school ambiance, telling the story of actual DJs within the ’80s and their transformation from music lover right into a tradition curator. The Fools Gold label boss mentioned in a press launch, “I launched ‘DJs Gotta Dance More’ over the summer season. It’s very pricey to me, as a result of it talks about all of the rituals and experiences you undergo whenever you learn to produce music: digging for samples, discovering influences, and convincing your mother and father to allow you to make noise on the home. Getting Todd Terry to talk on the document was a blessing: he represents a New York way of thinking, and a kinship between hip hop and home, which is a large a part of my identification.”

Lauren Sick was the director for the venture, racking up earlier credit for Vampire Weekend, El-P, and Chromeo. In addition to the music video, A-Trak launched two remixes of “DJs Gotta Dance More” by Cassius and Illyus & Barrientos.
