Amelie Lens Marks 10 Years Of Releases With Landmark Single ‘Falling Into Acid Dreams’

A decade on from her debut EP Exhale, Amelie Lens celebrates ten years of releasing music with a blistering new single, ‘Falling Into Acid Dreams, out 27th February via her own EXHALE imprint.

Falling Into Acid Dreams’ sees Lens return to the nucleus of her sound: fast, precise, high-impact techno built for full-body immersion. Driven by a tightly wound 303 line that gradually intensifies, the track locks into a rolling, hypnotic groove before her instantly recognisable vocal cuts through the mix. Crisp percussion and razor-sharp low-end control make this a focused, peak-time weapon engineered for dark rooms and main stages alike.

The milestone marks a full-circle moment. By 2016, Lens had already built a growing reputation as one of the most formidable selectors on the underground. That year she introduced her debut three-track EP, Exhale, on Italian imprint Lyase Recordings – an early statement that captured the intensity of Belgium’s underground scene. Ten years later, that name has evolved into EXHALE: a globally recognised label, event series and community platform that now stands at the forefront of contemporary techno. Now, her tenth anniversary release lands on the very imprint that grew from that first spark.

Amelie Lens – ‘Falling Into Acid Dreams’

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years of releasing music. Ten years of learning, falling, rising, believing and dreaming with you guys on the dance floor. I hope you feel the energy you’ve given me through all these years when you listen to ‘Falling into Acid Dreams’.
Proud and happy to share this moment with the world on my home base EXHALE. Thank you for dancing with me all this time. This is for you.

-Amelie Lens

Lens’ journey began far from the festival main stages she now commands. Shaped by early exposure to artists like Underworld, Boys Noize and Nine Inch Nails, she immersed herself in Belgium’s club culture as a teenager. By 2013 she had secured a residency in one of Belgium’s most popular techno clubs, where marathon sets and sweat-soaked dancefloors forged her understanding of techno at its most visceral.

It was here that the first EXHALE nights were born: intimate, DIY-spirited parties built around intensity, connection and community. What started as a local concept has since grown into one of techno’s most influential global brands. EXHALE has hosted sold-out showcases across Europe and the US, alongside festival takeovers at Awakenings ADE, Creamfields and Tomorrowland. The brand has delivered headline nights at fabric, Drumsheds London, RSO Berlin and Shelter Amsterdam, as well as two landmark summer-long Ibiza residencies at DC-10 – making Lens the first female artist to helm her own residency on the island.
