Benny The Butcher, a third of Buffalo’s Griselda Records core trio, shared his latest EP The Plugs I Met 2 on Friday. The project serves as the second installment after 2019’s The Plugs I Met, and the follow-up to his acclaimed 2020 album Burden of Proof. Much like the first Plugs, the entire 9-track project was produced by Harry Fraud, whose sample-heavy and hazy production gives the EP its sonic backbone alongside Benny’s sharp delivery. The EP boasts features from French Montana, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, the late Chinx, and 2 Chainz on “Plug Talk,” its visuals also dropping on Friday. The clip finds both rappers detailing but trying to move on from hustling, even attending an Alcoholics Anonymous-style meeting in the process.
