The Homebass saga reaches an expected yet hurtful point. The official Homebass social media accounts released a statement explaining they decided not to move forward with the “event” at the Westgate Lakes Resorts. Just a day before EDC Orlando takes place at Tinker Field, Homebass declares that, after much thought and consideration, they have exhausted all avenues that could’ve made the hotel takeover a reality. However, this may only scratch the surface of a bigger issue. This arose once EDMTunes received an exclusive verbal statement. Jordan Fincher aKa The WookKing (WubHub Presents), provided us with insightful information. The security director at Westgate Lakes Resorts (David Port) explained that Homebass did not meet the end of their bargain from a month prior. Jordan Fincher went to the Westgate Lakes Resorts to uncover the truth about the Homebass agreement. Having met the security director on site, the Westgate representative explained that Homebass did not, in fact, fulfill any of the agreed terms. As a result, they could not move forward with the weekend activities. “As a result from their lack of cooperation, lack of signing, and lack of payment, to the company for the events to be had on october 13th, all contact with that company have been severed, all contracts that hadn’t been signed have been done away with, there are no hosted events with for the lakes at all this weekend” Security Director at Westgate Lake Resorts Moreover, the director continued explaining that occupancy is high. It is very unlikely that any Homebass guests will have any access to any rooms whatsoever. In addition, the Homebass contract with the hosting hotel was voided as of October 13th, 2025. Homebass producers were informed on October 14th, 2025. This means that Homebass, knowing that its contract was obsolete, continued to sell hotel packages. They claimed they would still honor reservations, leaving hundreds of attendees to fend for themselves. This situation was seen on multiple Reddit conversations and social media comments. …”Homebass is not a part of the powerdime for this weekend, at all, in any way shape or form, not at any of our venues, the conference center, not any of our pools or water park…” Furthermore, Jordan asked the head of security if the reservations made at the initial hotel, the DoubleTree Hilton, had been switched to the Westgate. The director then expressed that since the hotels are not associated with each other, there was no way the reservations done prior would be transferred to the Westgate hotel officially. In other words, people had no reservations guaranteed once DoubleTree cut ties with Homebass. Lastly, the Westgate director recommended that Homebass attendees file a civil lawsuit against Homebass. This would be for the money of each reservation that was not honored. As many people are hustling to make their EDC weekend happen, local teams are trying to alleviate the pressure. Berlin Techno Night, a local underground production, is offering its location to Homebass victims to get ready for EDC. They provide outdoor showers, bathrooms, a gym, hot tubs, a pool, and hammocks and lawn chairs. Although this may not fix the issue, we hope it does unite our community as they navigate this dire situation.BREAKING: Home Bass Turns Fyre Fest as Attendees Arrive to Cancellation Notice
