Carly Rae Jepsen is officially back. The Loneliest Time, her follow-up to 2019’s Dedicated, is out on October 21 via 604/Schoolboy/Interscope. This LP features collaborations with Rostam Batmanglij (who also produced the album’s lead single “Western Wind”, released back in May), Tavish Crowe, Bullion, Captain Cuts, John Hill, Kyle Shearer, and Alex Hope.

This news comes a day after Jepsen teased the record on social media, sharing a short clip on captioned “I’m coming back for you, baby‚Ķ” where she connects the spiritual meaning behind the moon to the album’s title. “The moon is not just for lovers. It is for any lonely soul that longs for something more,” says Jepsen in a voice-over. “The moon contains all of our secrets. It evokes feelings of longing, hopefulness, sadness, and even a little romance. It’s a reminder to us in its constancy that even when we are having the loneliest time, we are never really alone.”

Prior to announcing the album, Jepsen announced her The So Nice Tour with support from Empress Of. It kicks off on September 24.
