Oasis shocked fans by announcing a reunion tour in 2025, ending their 15-year hiatus due to a long-held feud between the brothers. As Noel and Liam Gallagher are back and gearing up for a world tour in 2025 happening next July and August, Fatboy Slim has slammed the brothers over their choice to use dynamic pricing for their latest tour. The DJ, whose real name is Norman Cook, slammed the method of ticket sales where the price is dictated by demand, describing it as a “Sick” way to rip off fans. He told The Sun “That is the dynamic pricing you should be having. They are not making lots of money, they just want to survive. They just love to see rock n’n’ roll. New bands have to have somewhere to come.” Fatboy Slim added that he has not allowed this to happen to his shows. He gets a say on the ticket prices and stands firm on having a fair price. He went on to praise Cold Play (although he said he really hated them) for announcing that they would donate 10% of the band earnings from 2025 UK tour to Music Venue Trust, a UK charity that supports grassroots music venues. As of now, over 350 Music Venues are at immediate risk of closure. After all the uproar, Ticketmaster’s ability to raise the price of concert tickets based on demand is being scrutinized and “Under Review” by the U.K.’s Competition and Market Authority (CMA). The ticket fees can sometimes cost as much as the ticket itself! This is not the first time that Ticketmaster has faced scrutiny, earlier this year they were sued by the Department of Justice, you can read more Here.
