Ferry Corsten Steps Down From Tour Following Family Emergency

Trance legend Ferry Corsten issued an urgent statement announcing his withdrawal from the Tranceformations Festival in Wrocław, Poland. Corsten, who was scheduled to headline the Main Stage with his iconic Gouryella project on February 7, cited a private emergency for his absence. “I’m deeply sorry to share that, due to an unexpected and serious family medical emergency, I will not be able to perform”, the DJ stated.

The last-minute cancellation left a void in the festival’s ambitious “The Light Returns” lineup, which featured a record-breaking laser production at the historic Hala Stulecia, and featured talents such as Aly & Fila, Digital Culture (RAM & Richard Durand), and Marco V.

The artist emphasized that the decision was difficult but necessary, writing: “I know many of you have been looking forward to this show, and I truly regret to miss it. However, I need to be with my family right now”. In the statement, Ferry also expressed his gratitude for the community’s empathy, before signing off. While the festival carried on as planned, we wish that this matter regarding Ferry’s family can be sorted gracefully and swiftly. Our prayers are with you.
