GRIDLIFE Summer Apex Music & Motorsports Festival was Full of Surprises

Last weekend, GRIDLIFE Summer Apex Music & Motorsports Festival concluded its debut edition where nearly 16,000 car aficionados and music lovers alike gathered at Road America in Elkhart, Wisconsin to indulge in the premier ‘Speed Meets Sounds’ experience.

The inaugural edition of the ‘Music Festival At High Speed’ combined its industry-leading on-track motorsport competition, freestyle open drift sessions, and high-caliber car show with a variety of musical performances including a special two-hour karaoke party hosted by rap legend T-Pain. On Saturday, fans indulged in headlining performances from GRAMMY-winning superstar deadmau5 and WAKAAN label boss Liquid Stranger with supporting sets from bass music producer Dogma and a bevy of regional talent.

After securing two first-place wins on the race track, driver and motorsports content creator TJ Hunt joined T-Pain on stage during karaoke to sing the smash-hit “Bartender.” Furthering GRIDLIFE’s mission to merge motorsports and music, this crossover proved to be a highlight of the weekend for both car lovers and music fans alike.

Hosted at one of America’s largest and most prestigious race tracks, Road America, GRIDLIFE Summer Apex hosted a full weekend of racing, driving, music, and car culture that featured 378 drivers and 130 show cars. Located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, the track offered challenging turns and exhilarating straights, backdropped with serene greenery, which immersed thousands of adrenaline-seekers in a multisensory motorsports journey.

On the race track, pro-driver Mike DuSold had an epic run and broke the GRIDLIFE overall track record with a lap time of 2:04:58 in his 1967 Camaro.

The festival also featured a variety of programming including the GRIDLIFE Arcade with racing simulators, vintage arcade cabs, Mario Kart, and Smash Brothers in addition to GRIDLIFE’s vendor midway that presented a range of automotive brands selling merchandise, hosting activations, and more.
