Insomniac Buys DC’s Club Glow And Soundcheck

Insomniac Founder Pasquale Rotella just announced his impending acquisition of Club Glow. He will acquire the iconic 34,000-foot Echostage and the smaller Soundcheck venue in Washington DC. This acquisition closed with Pete Kalamoutsos back in 2019. The announcement was this year at the Winter Music Conference. However, COVID-19 pushed that back.

Now, Kalamoutsos says this partnership means bigger events in the market alongside killer production set forth by Insomniac. You know what this means, right? It means that Insomniac is now securing East Coast anchors for even more events.

“We have been working together in the past few years promoting dance music culture. I’m always watching for people who make an impact. A goal of mine has always been to work with the people that are essentially cut from the same cloth…[with] the passion with the roots to the culture. Pete’s a fan…and what he started is as popular today. He is pushing the music…and culture forward. There’s no limit…we at Insomniac need support with entrepreneurs that are passionate… smart, that can help us grow globally. With partnerships coming together and expanding to the East Coast, having Glow as an anchor has been amazing. It just ties into everything together.” – Pasquale Rotella, to Billboard

The partnership stipulates that Kalamoutsos will manage Echostage in Washington. Comparably, he has brought notorious acts to the stages including Diplo, Calvin Harris, Armin van Buuren, and David Guetta. So, who else is excited about this acquisition? Sure, virtual events still remain the current trend. But the future seems bright. We have hope now, the industry is making its comeback. It will be bigger than ever and we can bet that both these moguls have incredible things planned.

Insomniac’s continue to grow, and we anxiously wait for their return.
