Javi Torres, Alba Dreid, and STBAN Unite for Afro-Latin House Anthem ‘Habibi’

Following a series of successful releases from UK-based producers James Hurr and Loz Seka, FLAMENCA Records founder STBAN is back with his latest musical offering. The label head has unveiled his brand new single, ‘Habibi’, which officially arrived on April 10th.

This latest production serves as a masterclass in percussive Afro-Latin House. To bring the vision to life, STBAN collaborated with two prominent figures in the Spanish music scene: the acclaimed DJ and percussionist Javi Torres and the versatile singer and DJ Alba Dreid. The resulting track is a high-energy dance floor weapon that masterfully blends the rich, evocative textures of Arabesque vocals and instrumentation with driving, thundering basslines and relentless rhythmic patterns.

A Fusion of Tradition and Modern Electronic Sound

Javi Torres has established a formidable reputation across southern Europe and Latin America, celebrated for his explosive sets that seamlessly integrate live percussion into the mix. His work has garnered significant support from industry heavyweights, including Martin Garrix, Alok, Jamie Jones, Hugel, Aaron Sevilla, Roger Sanchez, Mëstiza, MichaelBM, Tom & Collins, Novak, Nicky Romero, Paco Osuna, Salvarote Ganacci, and Sammy Porter.

Complementing this energy is the vocal prowess of Alba Dreid. Widely recognized in Spain following her success on the RTVE program La Bien Cantá, Dreid is dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional Spanish folklore and contemporary electronic music. Her involvement in ‘Habibi’ aligns perfectly with the ongoing mission of FLAMENCA Records to push the boundaries of flamenco-infused electronic soundscapes.

The release of ‘Habibi’ marks another milestone for the label, continuing its growth as a hub for innovative, genre-bending music. Fans of the 2024 music landscape will find this track to be a standout addition to the Afro-House genre.
