He later taught himself drums for a band before moving to Long Beach, where he was inspired by the vibrant local house scene. Much like his background, LARSa’s latest, ‘Moment In Time‘, showcases a plethora of sounds, much like a fusion cuisine meal. In a not only cohesive but also very pleasant way, the single primarily borrows flavours from what I like to call Deep Deep House, that extra hypnotic sound that used to grace the House scene some odd 15 years ago. With sunken vocals, heavy, warm basslines, entrancing pluck movements, and just enough percussion to grace the high end with a fresh gush of wind from the current era, ‘Moment In Time’, playfully citing its name, sounds like a snapshot of the sounds of yesteryear, brought back to the spotlight with surgical mixing techniques, and ready to rock a dancefloor.
