Lights All Night is officially cancelled. The that takes place in Dallas, Texas took to social media to announce the cancellation in an official statement: ‘This has been the note that’s been keeping us up at night. It’s true, #LAN2020 (which would’ve been our 11th anniversary) is not happening. There’s simply no way we can justify holding on to your hard-earned money with the slim hope that we’re able to gather at the end of the year.” Lights All Night is a staple of the Texas EDM community. The team advertises the event as “the longest-running EDM festival in Texas.” 2020 would have been the event’s 11th year. This year continues to bring a sense of uncertainty. Additionally, with no viable vaccine available to the public, the risk of contracting COVID-19 is still high. New Year’s Eve will be different for everyone around the world this year with the cancellation of in-person events. Unfortunately, many New Year’s Eve events are being cancelled because of COVID-19. And this isn’t exclusive to just Texas. While the Lights All Night team is sad to cancel Lights All Night 2020, their statement emphasizes a hopeful sentiment to “make more memories” soon.
