Dutch dance icons Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren release their first-ever collaboration, ‘Sleepless Nights‘. Featuring Libby Whitehouse’s striking vocals, the track fuses Garrix’s modern production with Armin’s trance DNA, embodying the energy of late-night dance floors and the euphoria of sunrise. Premiered during their back-to-back sets at Ultra Miami, it has since become a staple in their solo and joint festival performances, including EDC Las Vegas, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. Both artists, longtime friends and five-time DJ Mag Top 100 DJ winners, now unite their signature sounds in this highly anticipated release. The track seamlessly blends the old with the new, featuring an extremely nostalgic progression. Both van Buuren’s Trance upbrings and Garrix’s Bigroom Progressive elements shine bright in an euphoric fashion. Libby’s vocals ride over the beat, while the synths flow like water. The track is another example of how Progressive sounds from the early 2010s are making a comeback to the main stage. Although the vocalist does not have many EDM singing credits, her presence on ‘Sleepless Nights’ is powerful and captivating. We’re hoping that this is the beginning of a new chapter in her career, involving electronic music more often. Although this marks the first Garrix x van Buuren collaboration, Garrix hinted at a major future collaboration with none other than John Summit.
