Nicki Minaj’s iconic 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty has been released on streaming services, marking the first time the New York rapper’s unforgettable breakout has been commercially available. Featuring Minaj’s first hit, the Lil Wayne collab “I Get Crazy”, the 2021 edition of Beam Me Up Scotty also includes five previously unreleased or hard-to-find tracks, including the rapper’s beloved remix of “Boss Ass Bitch”, the G Herbo collab “Chi-Raq”, “Fractions”, a remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth”, and “Seeing Green”, a new collaboration with longtime collaborators and labelmates Lil Wayne and Drake. Per Pitchfork, in an Instagram Live announcing the reissue of the mixtape, Minaj told fans that a new album would be coming soon. Her last, the “Barbie Dreams”-featuring Queen, came out in 2018.
