Now, OX7GEN brings you his amazing new EP, ‘Stomp Nouveau’,available 30th April on his very own new label, Fresh Air Records. A single, ‘Cruise Control’ will be released on 16th April to announce the EP and Fresh Air Records.
First up on Stomp Nouveau is I/O, starting with a driving 4/4 click, killer riff and deep bass synths, this track is an instant classic, fit for the very finest festivals and dance floors of the world. OX7GEN tells us more: “‘I/O has been a mainstay in my sets for the last 3 years. I was saving it for something special, and I’m glad to have it out on the first release of my own label.” Last December, OX7GEN’s Boiler Roomset(releasing 2nd April, 2025) went down a storm. And Cruise Control, the second track on Stomp Nouveau, was one of the highlights of the set. With vocals courtesy of good friend & fellow DJ from Goa, Anushka “Not looking for nobody/ to get me in the mood/ selector got me locked in place and I just wanna cruise”, In the words of OX7GEN, ‘She basically tells the world to f*ck off so she can dance in peace.” Sentinels is full of power waiting to be unleashed, butOX7GEN keeps this beast leashed and the track is all the better for it. Complex beats, layer upon layer of original synth sounds and a main keyboard line that’s dreamy yet always building at the same time. Wolves II sounds very much like a techno avatar of OX7GEN’s earlier drum & bass sound, bridging the energies of the genres, effortlessly. OX7GEN explains more: “This EP is a special one for me as I start a new journey with the label – Fresh Air Records. The 4 tunes on this release are all quite different from each other yet have that distinct OX7GEN sound. Fresh Air Records is also very much a space for me to write & release whatever I want to without pigeonholing the label into specific genres.
