Seven Lions — and Ophelia Records founder Jeff Montalvo — has released his new album today, Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars. A masterpiece that feels like a personal body of work, the album marks a return to the inspirations that shaped Seven Lions’ earliest sound. “The name came from me going back to my roots – books, fantasy, metal,” the former drummer says. “A lot of my favorite metal tracks have these mystical, visually evocative names. I wanted something that felt old-school Seven Lions, something that sparks imagery the moment you read it.” Throughout the album, you will be transported to his world, which he describes as: “handcrafted and intentional – something that transports you. Immense, overwhelming, and capable of pulling you into another world.” You will find emotional drops and melodies while the vocalists shine. Seven Lions collaborated with artists including Haliene, Kerli, Oaks and Fiora. Since getting his start with the Anjunabeats record label Seven Lions has since been on a journey to craft his own melodic dubstep sound and shape his Ophelia Records label that features some of my personal favourite artists such as Jason Ross, Trivecta and Andrew Bayer to name a few. Following his album release, Seven Lions is set to go on tour featuring several North American cities, EDC Thailand and Red Rocks as the highlight of the tour. Among the artists joining him on his upcoming album tour are names such as Kill the Noise, Level Up, MitiS and Nurko.
