Dubstep mastermind Subtronics has released the second part of his highly ambitious project: Fibonacci Pt 2: Infinity. The new project, released today, December 5, 2025, successfully concludes his two-part, mathematically-inspired saga. Furthermore, the album showcases a significant evolution in his sound. The conceptual framework was established by his albums FRACTALS and TESSERACT. Now, the Fibonacci project centers on the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio patterns found universally in nature and physics. Ultimately, the release of Subtronics Fibonacci Pt 2 completes the story, delivering a listening journey entirely different from its predecessor. The first chapter, Fibonacci Pt 1: Oblivion, focused deliberately on high-energy, festival-ready tracks. It delivered the chaotic, sound-design-heavy dubstep and hard-hitting bass that defines Subtronics’ celebrated live performances. Tracks like ‘Oblivion’, ‘Mothclaws’, and the collaboration ‘Lock In’ (with Wooli) geared up to rupture the fabric of reality with massive drops and technicality. In contrast, the Subtronics Fibonacci Pt 2 chapter, Infinity, features a completely different aural palette. This second part is highly atmospheric and experimental. Moreover, the artist infused it with what he described as “emotionally resonant vocals.” Therefore, the completed project represents a bold leap forward. It expands well beyond his signature sound and showcases the full breadth of his production capabilities. The use of the Fibonacci sequence is more than just a clever title; it is the conceptual foundation of the album. The sequence, where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, …), links intrinsically to the golden ratio and the spiral shapes found in everything from seashells to galaxies. Subtronics uses this mathematical concept as a metaphor. He views the sequence as an “all-encompassing code to the world.” Likewise, he sees his music as a journey through different emotional worlds and sonic textures, guided by his own production “code.” The Infinity portion successfully delves deeper into the psychedelic and otherworldly frequencies hinted at in the first part. Consequently, it fully explores the cosmic scale implied by the title. Now that the final tracklist is available, fans can discover the diverse range of moods and tempos. This includes the anticipated Drum & Bass elements and new collaborations that push him into unique genres. Following the success of Part 1’s collaboration with A Little Sound on ‘Final Breath’, the second EP delivers on the promise of sonic expansion. The release of Subtronics Fibonacci Pt 2: Infinity is not just an album drop. Instead, it is the culmination of a two-year creative arc. This project has solidified his position as one of bass music’s most ambitious and conceptual producers.Subtronics Delivers The Final Chapter: Fibonacci Pt 2: Infinity Is Out Now
