Terminal V Announces Final Edinburgh Edition as Festival Prepares Next Chapter

After nearly a decade in Scotland’s capital, Terminal V has confirmed that its upcoming April edition will be the last held in Edinburgh.

The 18–19 April 2026 event at the Royal Highland Centre will close a defining nine-year run for the festival, which first launched at the site in 2017 and steadily grew into one of the UK’s most recognized electronic music events.

Organizers cited rising operational pressures, particularly increased policing and associated delivery costs, as key factors behind the move. Rather than scale back, the team made the decision to relocate beyond Edinburgh starting in 2027.

Despite the announcement, this final Scottish edition won’t be a toned-down sendoff. If anything, the opposite.

One of six reimagined stages set to close out Terminal V’s nine-year run in the city.

The April event will feature six fully reworked stages and a lineup of more than 100 artists spanning techno, house, and high-intensity hybrids. Names set to appear include 9999999999, Anetha, Ben Hemsley, Clouds b2b Tommy Holohan, DJ Gigola b2b Øtta, East End Dubs, Klangkuenstler, Mall Grab, Patrick Topping, Robert Hood, Sara Landry, SPFDJ, and many more.

Production has always been central to Terminal V’s identity, and the closing chapter in Edinburgh aims to raise the bar once more. A new partnership with d&b audiotechnik will introduce a redesigned site-wide sound system, promising tighter engineering and more powerful delivery across all six arenas.

Since its debut, Terminal V has welcomed over 250,000 attendees to Edinburgh and climbed the ranks in international recognition, earning Best UK Festival at the 2023 DJ Mag Awards and placing prominently in global festival rankings. Beyond Scotland, the brand now hosts a summer edition in Croatia and recently expanded into London with a large-scale show at Drumsheds.

Terminal V’s large-scale production has become a defining feature of the Edinburgh event.

What comes next is still under wraps, but organizers have confirmed a brand-new festival location for 2027 alongside an international tour to mark ten years of Terminal V.

For longtime attendees, this April won’t just be another weekend; it will be the last chance to experience Terminal V at the Royal Highland Centre, the site that shaped its rise.

Final remaining tickets will be released soon via the official Terminal V website here.
