Tomorrowland has had a really busy past couple of days. From their main stage burning down to the speedy recovery and incredible Weekend 1, the festival has had a lot of stuff happening lately. Now, the gathering is urging its attendees to stay away from the drinking water fountains. This is because a water pipe was damaged in Wednesday’s fire. They’re being extra careful until a special lab checks the water and says it’s okay to drink. Festival organizers explained this is a safety step. The temporary main water pipes at Tomorrowland got hurt in the fire on Wednesday. Because of this, they can’t flush the pipes right now, so they can’t promise the water is safe to drink. A laboratory is currently testing water samples to see if it’s still clean enough. Until those results are in, Tomorrowland is asking everyone not to drink from the water fountains and not to fill their bottles there. Looking for an immediate solution for the People of Tomorrow, the festival has said, “We’ve set up temporary water pipes in different spots to make sure there’s enough drinking water for the restrooms“. As for an explanation to their worry, they said “When it’s hot, and water just sits in pipes like these, germs can grow. That’s why we regularly flush these pipes with fresh water“. *Cover image credit: Klaas De Scheirder [H/T] HLNTomorrowland Urges Attendees Not To Drink From Fire-Damaged Water Pipelines
