UN Chamber Music Society Announce Global Electronic Music Album ‘HARMONY’ – 100 % of Streams Fund UN Humanitarian Aid

The UN Chamber Music Society will release HARMONY, a full-length album that recasts major electronic dance tracks as large-scale orchestral works, on December 17, 2025 and can be streamed over at UN WebTV and their YouTube. The date marks the exact 80th anniversary of the United Nations.

HARMONY was recorded at Klavierhaus by Mumeneer, the venue’s resident engineers, and co-produced by Lawrence Lui and Brenda Vongova. Mix engineering and mastering were handled by Mickey Alexander, with additional mixing contributions by Julio Victoria for ‘Todo se detiene’. The album’s striking cover artwork, “Folding Time,” is by renowned artist Maria Kreyn.

Instead of remixing or sampling, the project commissioned new orchestral arrangements of nine tracks by producers and artists active on today’s global electronic circuit: ARTBAT, Paul van Dyk, KSHMR, Sultan + Shepard, Kiesza, Francis Mercier, Mr Tout Le Monde, Lachi, and Julio Victoria. The result is an hour-long record where club weapons are rebuilt with strings, brass, woodwinds, harp, and percussion, performed by members of the UN Chamber Music Society.

Brenda Vongova, pianist and the ensemble’s founder, led the project. “Electronic music is a universal language that has brought people together from all over the world, spreading peace, positivity and inclusivity,” said Brenda Vongova, Founder and Artistic Director of the UN Chamber Music Society. “Through HARMONY, we are taking these powerful electronic works and reimagining them in an orchestral setting, creating a sonic bridge between genres, cultures, and communities.”

Each arrangement is tied to the origin or cultural influence of the original artist or track, creating a deliberate geographic arc:

Eastern Europe → ARTBAT – ‘Horizon’
Western Europe → Paul van Dyk – ‘For An Angel’
Asia → KSHMR & Marnik – ‘Bazaar’
North America → Kiesza – ‘Go Back’ / Sultan + Shepard – ‘RnR’
Latin America → Julio Victoria – ‘Todo se detiene (Everything comes to a halt)’ ft. Lalo Cortés / Francis Mercier – ‘Ayibobo (Freedom)’ ft. Lenny Auguste
Africa → Lachi – ‘We Be Stars’
Western Europe → Mr Tout Le Monde – ‘Wonderful World’

All streaming revenue from the UN Chamber Music Society’s HARMONY album will directly support United Nations humanitarian initiatives via the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA). The Society also invites fans to contribute to the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), administered by UN OCHA, at https://cerf.un.org/donate.
