Vicetone presents a high-octane reimagining of the underground favorite Tsunami J and Erlax’s “Die Young,” delivering a fresh Club Mix that amplifies the original’s emotional intensity while injecting it with the energy of a peak-time festival anthem. Out today via Kurate Music, this new version breathes fire into the moody guitar-led hook that first caught Vicetone’s attention in the most unexpected setting. The original “Die Young,” released in 2021 by Tsunami J and Erlax, had developed a dedicated following based on its hypnotic guitar work and nostalgic feel. Vicetone’s new club version reinterprets this core feeling through their signature progressive house sound, creating a powerful arrangement of building energy and drop-ready intensity that is perfect for large dancefloors. The remix effectively takes the track’s atmosphere and converts it into a peak-time moment, validating the strength of the original melody. For over ten years, Vicetone—comprised of childhood friends Ruben den Boer and Victor Pool—has been a consistent force in dance music, gathering over a billion streams and multiple successful releases. This Club Mix is a clear example of their ability to recognize an impactful musical idea and engineer it for a massive audience. I first discovered the original guitar riff while doing a workout at home,” Ruben shares. “I was scrolling through YouTube Shorts when suddenly, the riff came on. I was mesmerized by it, but immediately I heard an idea form in my head to turn it into a Vicetone-style song.” Expecting it to be a big viral hit, they were surprised to learn it was still flying under the radar. “I immediately stopped my workout, ran to my studio, and started working on the first demo. About 10 hours later, I had the first version ready and contacted AJ (Tsunami J) to discuss collaboration. Luckily, he was excited about it – and this track was born.”Vicetone Flips a Hidden Gem into a Festival Anthem: ‘Die Young (Club Mix)’
