[WATCH] Anyma Performs Alongside G.E.M For League Of Legends World Finals

Italian/American Multimedia artist Anyma transcended yet another demographic, as he performed at the Riot Games League of Legends World Finals Opening Ceremony alongside Hong Kong Singer G.E.M. The duo presented the finalist teams in Chengdu before their battles that would decide who would earn the final prize. As one would expect from Anyma, the artist brought out his double synth set-up on a platform as he rose in the air while G.E.M accompanied him with her vocals to this year’s anthem ‘Sacrifice’.

Moreover, the Melodic Techno artist co-directed the show, as the visuals had similarities to past characters that Anyma has created for his projects. However, this time, fans recognized multiple favorite characters, a nod to League of Legends, as the arena turned into a real-life battlefield.

This is not the first time that the E-Sports event recruits an electronic artist. Anyma follows the leads of DJs such as Jauz, MitiS, Marshmello, and Arty. Back in 2016, Zedd produced the Worlds anthem ‘Ignite’ for the League of Legends event.

Other major mainstream artists that have collaborated with the cult-classic game, League of Legends, include Lil Nas X, K/DA, Post Malone, Imagine Dragons, and Denzel Curry.

Next Up

Anyma returns to Las Vegas for the first time since his Residency at The Sphere. He will perform a special DJ set at the upgraded Marquee Nightclub on November 22nd during the F1 Weekend. Then, he will make his return to Coachella to debut his brand new augmented reality set AEden. Perhaps, working with League of Legends served as inspiration.
