Indie rock outfit Wild Pink shared their latest single on Thursday, “You Can Have It Back,” set to appear on their upcoming album A Billion Little Lights. The track also features additional vocals from Ratboys’ Julia Steiner. “This was the last song I wrote for the album, and it’s also one of the most fun to play live. Wild Pink songs typically don’t follow conventional song structures but with this one I did,” frontman John Ross explains about the track, which he added was inspired by Fleetwood Mac. “I wrote it with the intention of having someone else sing it, but ended up just singing it myself.”
The video, shot in an abandoned cemetery in Philadelphia, blends this ghostly backdrop with vintage footage for a moody, nostalgic look at the American dream. Watch it above.
A Billion Little Lights drops February 19, 2021.
