Baby Audio has officially unveiled Grainferno, a sophisticated granular synthesis plugin designed to bridge the gap between sample manipulation and traditional synthesis. By deconstructing audio recordings into microscopic fragments and reassembling them in real-time, the instrument allows producers to transform any sample into a fully playable synthesizer voice.

Redefining Sample-Based Synthesis

Grainferno is built upon a newly developed granular engine, prioritizing both creative flexibility and performance-oriented features. At its core, the plugin allows users to reshape existing recordings—such as field recordings, loops, or stems—into evolving pads, digital textures, and noise-based soundscapes.
