Could Daft Punk Appear At The Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Daft Punk could actually make an appearance at the Super Bowl this Sunday. What!? Well, apparently someone on Twitter came forth with The Weeknd’s setlist for the show. Not to mention, The Weeknd is also pouring $7 million of his own money for the performance. View the tweet below.

Firstly, it includes ‘Star Boy’ and ‘I Feel It Coming’ featuring Daft Punk. What’s more, is that the translation of the tweet says “The Weeknd page confirms that this will be the #SBLV halftime song set. Almost confirming Daft Punk and Ariana Grande’s appearances on the show”. Secondly, it wouldn’t be a halftime show without live performers. 18 songs during a 30-minute set? Let’s see what happens, shall we?

Already, Abel Tesfaye has unleashed his career with three Grammy awards, five American Music Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards. He definitely seems like a great contender for this rite of passage. He makes it alongside Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Maroon 5, Travis Scott, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and more.

Now, let’s take a look at how the Super Bowl is going to be . This may be the world’s biggest stage for the 2021 Halftime Show. It kicks off at 6:30 pm EST, with halftime at 8:30 pm EST. The show will be socially distanced and we could get to see Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, and Ariana Grande as guests. Wouldn’t it just make 2021 a little better if we could get the comeback we’ve been waiting for?

All players are getting tested for COVID-19 daily, including game days. Anyone with a confirmed positive test is isolated for a minimum of 10 days. Less than 25,000 fans will be attending, and the commercials aren’t going to be as great. An uneventful 2020 led to an uncertain 2021, which led to less funding for 30-second spots.

Gear up for what could be an epic halftime performance to save the year. Who will take it all, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Kansas City Chiefs?
