31st century pop artist Dolly Spectra releases visuals for “Whatcha Gonna Do,” an upbeat experimental electronic dance pop song, which she describes as the soundtrack for “when your blood is boiling, your heart is pumping, and you want to go kick ass and take names.” Stream the music video for “Whatcha Gonna Do” above, edited by Adrian Vega and Dolly’s VFX artist Ben Benjamin, who both wrangled the visuals out of Dolly’s mind’s eye, to make them a reality. “‘Whatcha Gonna Do” is an electronic dance pop song born out of the anger and disappointment I experienced when some truly unreliable jerks let me down. It was liberating to write. I hammered out the beat with my drum machine in about 20 minutes and just let this weird scary bitchy rap flow out of me.
