Florida’s Sol Fest Announces More News for Specatular Third Edition

Sol Fest Music & Arts Festival has announced daily lineups for its 2024 edition, taking place from Thursday, May 2 – Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the event’s new venue Vortex Spring in Ponce de Leon, Florida.

Kicking off the weekend on Thursday, May 2, the daily lineup will feature performances from a bevy of artists such as Dabin, Lettuce, and NGHTMRE, in addition to Break Science, Jantsen, Opiuo, and Axel Thesleff. French trailblazer and Odyzey imprint boss CloZee will close out the night’s festivities. Thursday’s waterpark party will be headlined by singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Two Feet, and supported by Michal Menert and ZEP.

Friday’s stacked roster welcomes a collection of genre-spanning acts including ChaseWest, Emancipator, EPROM, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, alongside sets from G Jones, Elderbrook, Bob Moses (club set), Barclay Crenshaw, as well as duo Big Gigantic to finish off the night with their funk-infused electronic performance.

During the day on Friday, the event will host an Odyzey Waterpark takeover, which will host sets from experimental bass producer Chmura, Canadian glitch-hop duo The Funk Hunters, and label head CloZee, who will be performing a DJ set.

On Saturday, May 4, the daily lineup will be anchored by Canadian producer and two-time winner of JUNO Awards’ Electronic Album of the Year REZZ, preceded by performances from support acts like Daily Bread, Of The Trees, and Peekaboo. Saturday will also host the first-ever b2b set from Dirt Monkey and Smoakland, IMANU b2b Machinedrum, Netsky, Skeler b2b Deadcrow, and Vincent Antone.

On Saturday, fans can dive into the ultimate waterpark party, brought to you by Dr. Fresch’s House Call Records, which will feature artists Galo and Neon Steve.

The marathon weekend will be rounded out on Sunday, May 5 by psychedelic bass purveyor LSDREAM, who will also be showcasing a special Lightcode set, in addition to his headlining set.

The final day will also host several smashing sets from The Glitch Mob, Papadosio, Manic Focus, Yheti, Maddy O’Neal, Phutureprimitive, Fury, and Kirby Bright b2b Zeplinn.

Sol Fest’s Sunday Waterpark party will feature exclusive sets such as the debut US joint performance from drum n’ bass pioneer Netsky and Australian selector Luude as well as Bay Area bass duo Smoakland as their drum and bass side project Liquid Smoak.

In addition to Sol Fest’s four stacked days of music programming, the festival will also be throwing a Welcome Party at the Waterpark pre-party on Wednesday for anyone who purchases a Wednesday early arrival pass. The soiree will be hosted by local bass label/collective Wubaholics and will feature a festival debut from ALLEYCVT b2b Levity, plus captivating sets by Superfuture, STVSH, Meduso, OkayJake, Lumasi, and Raaket.

Additionally, Sol Fest has also revealed a wide range of food and craft vendors, which will include The Official Beauty Bar powered by Lunautics. Attendees will have the option to be pampered with hair braiding, glitter services, full glam services, face and body jewels, and eyelash applications. Other craft vendors that will be at Sol Fest include Daytripper, Dead Fish Studios, Elite Eyewear, Glass Gatherer, Loose Lucy’s, Spunglasses, The Heady Mama Wook Shop, Third Eye Pinecones, Lost Sailor, and many more.

The festival will also host various food vendors, including several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options from vendors like Asian Sensation, Cococrissi Italian Ice, Festi Bowl, Grilled Cheese Incident, Homeslice Pizza, Rice Rice Baby, Solar Cafe, Travelin’ Toms Coffee Truck, and more.

The festival’s new venue at Vortex Spring in Ponce De Leon, Florida, provides over 500 acres of recreational bliss for camping, snorkeling, and diving. With six water slides, beachfront relaxation, and a plethora of activities like cave diving, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, attendees are in for an adventure.

Sol Fest will also feature live and digital art installations, murals, hologram water screen shows, therapeutic workshops such as breathwork, yoga, and sound healing, as well as other daytime activities and games such as Frick Frack Blackjack, Sonic Portal, disc golf, tie-dying, and body marbling – a list that further highlights the festival’s dedication to emotional and social wellness.

Sol Fest’s enchantment culminates in Sol Sunday, an annual memorial dedicated to their beloved friend Quentin “Sol” Rupp, who passed away at the age of 26. This day features a special interactive sun lantern effigy burn and slideshow, inviting attendees to honor their departed loved ones. Sol Sunday embodies the festival’s core values of community, equality, and diversity, including advocacy for women and LGBTQ rights.
