Glastonbury Announces ‘Live At Worthy Farm’ Livestream

After announcing the organizers of Glastonbury announced a new online Livestream event, named ‘Live At Worthy Farm’. This different event will take place on Saturday, 22nd May 2021.

Just a few days after the organization of Glastonbury confirmed their plans to host a few family-friendly events this year, they announce a “global livestream event”. According to the minds behind this new production, this one-night show will be the “greatest show online”. On top of that, it will host incredible and exclusive acts such as Coldplay, Jorja Smith, Michael Kiwanuka and Haim – as well as talented DJ Honey Dijon.

Emily Eavis announced that this show will also offer “very special guest appearances and collaborations” at the event. Moreover, Emily shared with the listeners of BBC Radio 2 that this event will be like the festival, but without the people. She also shared that acts will take place at various points around the usual site. This new offer by Glastonbury’s organization arrives after the sad news of the 2021 event’s cancelation. Despite the efforts of the organization, the current health situation did not allow the celebration of this huge party. The virtual show will have Paul Dugdale, a leading pop culture director, as its director so expect the very best. If you are interested in attending the stream, tickets are now available to purchase. A big part of the earnings with go towards charities such as Oxfam, Greenpeace, and WaterAid. The rest will go a long way in securing the iconic festival’s uncertain future. Needless to say, the COVID pandemic has heavily damaged the scene, so it needs huge funds to survive these difficult times.
