Suddenly this weekend’s sunny festival forecast is looking a lot more like a tropical downpour. Starting Friday, Miami is expected to experience heavy rain and strong winds on Ultra Day One. After all, this could put a serious damper on some of the biggest events of the year. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch and Wind Advisory for Miami-Dade and Broward counties. They are predicting up to 6 inches of rain in some areas. That’s not exactly ideal weather for Ultra with multiple stages, that attracts tens of thousands of attendees. Rounds of heavy rain is possible today, along with the chance of a few severe thunderstorms. Localized flooding is possible in urban and poor drainage locations.
