J Aktive’s “The One” Is A Love-Affirming Anthemic Song [Official Music Video]

J Aktive keeps surprising and challenging his fast-growing audience. After dropping the eight-track album Bad Luv, the LA-based artist has released a new music video for the song “The One.” Undoubtedly one of the stand-out tracks off his new album, “The One” also represents a great contrast from the rest of the tracklist, as it focuses on the positive aspect of love.

The album’s main theme revolved around masculine vulnerability surrounding toxic relationships in modern society. With a music video featuring actress Janice Ecles and directed by Josh Abia, J Aktive has taken the opportunity to deploy his vision of the ideal relationship and for that, he chose a heavenly location for the perfect feel-good visual storytelling.

Speaking about his style and favorite songs from his newly released album, J Aktive shares:

I’m kinda like a soulful hip-hop, rap, singer, like if Tupac, Michael Jackson, and Bob Marley could have a baby, it would come out as J AKTIVE. I’m like a neo-soul, pop, rap artist. It’s a battle between “The One” and “Fall back.” “The One” makes me feel excited, it gives me energy and “Fall Back” gives me 90’s nostalgic vibes.

The multi-faceted artist’s latest body of work encapsulates the heartaches of love, often swirling with nostalgia, but on the other hand, he is capable of bringing the exact opposite energy on tracks like “The One.” Right there lies his down-to-earth artistry.
