Producer and artist Biako enlists Jean Deaux for the sultry”Damn Girl”

Known for his work with LION BABE, Kadhja Bonet, Baby Rose, and rising singer Fousheé (having helmed her viral hit “Deep End”) producer Biako is taking his own turn at artistry, sharing his debut single “Damn Girl,” premiering above.

This slinky, neo-soul-inspired jam is a pulsing groove that finds Biako in awe of the women in his life, his own echoing vocals going back and forth with Chicago-based artist Jean Deaux‘s smoky delivery.

“My aim for ‘Damn Girl’ was to uplift the image of womxn of all walks of life,” Biako explained about the track in an email a press release, “from their usual patriarchal objectification into something that transcends the physical and gets to a more spiritual type of illumination, an intrinsic and almost frightening display of power that a womxn possesses. She could devour you if she wanted to, but you just get to lay there and bear witness to it all. You get to honor and respect her power, rather than attempt to colonize it.”
