Red Rocks to Distribute Covid-19 Vaccines During Events

From now on, event attendees will be able to get vaccinated for Covid-19 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The venue announced that everyone on site can receive a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. However, only select concerts will offer this possibility. It happened for the first time yesterday (May 13th), at a and Sidepiece concert.

Of course, Red Rocks Amphitheatre has partnered with the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) to achieve this. The goal is to offer the single-dose vaccine to anyone over the age of 18 in an effort to focus on younger audiences that may not yet have had quick access to the vaccine. Up to 100 doses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Moreover, vaccinated fans could receive a voucher for concessions and a Red Rocks 80th Anniversary T-shirt. Vaccinations at the venue will continue throughout the summer in preparation for increased capacity and the reopening of indoor venues.

Brian Kitts, spokesperson for Red Rocks Amphitheatre explained the decision. “The entertainment industry only works when people are able to gather together, and a healthy audience is vitally important at Red Rocks“. He goes on to say, “We’re making it easy to come to a concert and leave knowing that our fans have protected themselves, their families, and their fellow music lovers.”

Even though Red Rocks already has a busy schedule for 2021, more events are on the way. Organizers are hoping to increase venue capacity for summer events since the vaccination campaign is going well.
