According to MacRumors, a website was created specifically for consumers to register. If you qualify, you may receive a fair amount of cash for your headache. It’s stated that Apple will “provide a cash payment of approximately $25 per eligible device”. To qualify, you must have owned one of the devices in the time period below: If you previously owned or still own one of these devices today, be sure to register ASAP. Earlier this year, Apple agreed to pay out a maximum of $500 million to those affected. While $500 million is a huge amount of money, it will deplete quickly once dispersed. As a result, those late to register themselves may receive less than others. When registering, all you need is your iPhone’s serial number. In their eyes, they were preventing older generation iPhones from experiencing shutdowns or other performance issues.
